Collections, scenes, and view layers - Blender Tutorial
From the course: Blender 3 Essential Training
Collections, scenes, and view layers
- [Instructor] Welcome to the chapter on putting everything together that you've just learned about Blender 3.0. In this chapter I want to start with setting up some very good habits. Then, we'll talk about the asset browser, go over lighting, and then end on a deep dive between Eevee real time rendering and Cycle's ray-traced rendering. And even touch on some advanced rendering features like de-noising and optics. Let's start with setting up some good habits while you're going along your Blender journey. The first is collections. Collections ultimately function as groups. In our out-liner you may have noticed that it has a scene collection and then a collection underneath. You can rename this collection just by double clicking and calling it Gourdy. Then you can go ahead and right click on this little box and change its color. I'm going to go to blue. You can come up to your scene collection and you can't edit…
