Cycles overview
- The last render engine we're going to take a look at is Cycles. It's the main workhorse behind all major Blender animations. And trust me, it makes your stuff look super good. But it is expensive, as in, it takes a long time for it to process. Now, we need a scene in order to see it in true form. So let's build one. You can click on this cube and hit G+Shift+Z to move it in the back. Move it up a little bit. Shift+A, let's add ourselves a plane. There we go. Shift+A again will add our favorite monkey. And you can Tab, Control+F, shade smooth. And of course right click and subdivide our monkey. Make sure you set that smoothness to one. You can Tab out of this, get out of edit mode. Shift+A, and let's go ahead and add something fun, like a cone. We can bring this down over here, G+Shift+Z, send it to the back. And why not scale it up and move it up a little bit. Maybe we'll move our cube a little more forward so…
