Preparing a mechanical model in Revit
- [Instructor] Sustainable design, touches on every design discipline. Hence, at a project conceptual and schematic design stages, mechanical engineers perform special systems, and energy analysis on the facility, in sync with the architects. In this video we'll prepare the mechanical review model, for systems analysis using the architectural model, as a reference. So start by launching Revit on your PC and we'll launch Revit. Click the new button under the model section. Then for the new project dialogue, click browse and navigate to the template folder. Here you want to choose either mechanical default, which is Imperial, or you go to the metric folder, and choose mechanical default metric and open. Then click okay, making sure to check projects, to start a new project.
