Packaging a CAD file
- [Instructor] In the previous video, we looked at uploading an AutoCAD drawing file to the cloud. And now in this video, I'd like to make that file available to the broader project team. So when we looked at uploading the file, we did it both through desktop connector using Windows Explorer on the local machine, and we also looked at doing it here in the web portal, directly in BIM Collaborate Pro. In both cases, the user that I have logged in right now, Howie, a member of the structural team, only sees the shared and the structure folder because those are the folders that he has permissions to. If we were to log in as a member of one of the other teams that needed access to this file, they would see something similar. So for example, if we were over in the architecture team, they would see the architecture folder, and therefore they wouldn't be able to link to this entrance canopy.
