- [Instructor] When reviewing a design both 2D and 3D views can be handy. In this video we'll look at Split View which allows me to look at both views side-by-side. I'll got ahead and click on our Madison.rvt file and that will default me into 3D view and that's the best place to start with Split View. I'll explain why in a moment. So here I am in 3D view. To go into Split View I'll click the button down here at the bottom of my screen and you can see that it splits my screen into a Model view on the left and a Sheet view on the right. Now the reason why it's better to start in Model view is this. If I were to click Madison.rvt and go to that first floor plan and then click Split View you'll notice the view on the right, once it appears here, is going to give me a dropdown list that lets me choose which view or sheet I want to see.
