- [Narrator] Sin stock investing is investing in stocks that are considered sinful; gambling, alcohol, cigarettes, things like that. While sin stocks may not be considered ethically good, they can be very profitable. Let's take a look at an example. So I'm here on the AdvisorShares Vice ETF. Now, this is an ETF product that is focused on sin stocks and the investment thesis here is that these companies, things like alcohol and tobacco, may not be popular from an ethical standpoint, but nevertheless, they still sell a very profitable set of products. And as an investor, my ultimate goal is to make money, so in that case, something like a vice ETF might make sense.
