Trust is the foundation of any successful team. Low-performing teams tend to lack trust. Another sign of little-to-low trust is psychologically unsafe environments. I say this to say, when team members don't feel like they can depend on one another to act with each other's interest in mind, communications break down and rifts are sure to be close behind. In this video, I'll show you how to build trust so your teammates feel comfortable depending on your contributions. Trust can look different depending on the context and situation, but the foundation of trust is often built on mutual understanding and cooperation. On your first day, you can begin a relationship of trust and mutual understanding by creating a culture of connection. One way you can start is by being vulnerable, sharing who you are and what you bring to the team based on your lived experiences.
