- Data visualization takes place on a graph or chart. And this graph could be on a computer on a piece of paper, and there are many really very many graph types. But all graphs share some basic common elements which help you interpret and analyze the data quickly and efficiently. Today I'm going to walk you through the must know graph elements, which will help you in your next presentation or project that you need to prepare graphs for. First, titles. Titles are used to label graphs and provide basic contextual information on what is being displayed. Titles are often underrated, but are one of the most important graph elements.
