- [Instructor] We know that data is the most important asset for any organization. Let's look at how to protect that data in Azure blob storage. We have already mentioned that Azure backup provides a simple, secure, and cost effective cloud-based backup solution to protect your business critical data stored in Azure blob storage. And Microsoft introduced two types of backups for blobs. We have the operational backup and the vaulted backup. Operational backup provides continuous local protection within the same storage account, so no schedule is required. You can restore data to any point in time, which is ideal for accidental deletions or corruption. On the other hand, vaulted backup offers offsite protection by storing backup copies in the backup of vault, and follows a defined schedule and retention policy, and also protects against accidental or malicious decisions.
