- [Narrator] Nobody likes to waste money, so it's essential to manage costs, and this is where Microsoft Cost Management comes in. Microsoft Cost Management is a suite of FinOps tools to help you analyze, monitor, and optimize the money being spent. With cost management, you can report on and analyze costs, monitor costs proactively, split shared costs, and automate processes and integrate with external tools. Microsoft's Commerce System is processing charges, which basically is a data pipeline. Let's look at Microsoft's Commerce System in more detail. From the left, Azure measures the services you use. Each service pushes the measured usage into the commerce system. As the data goes through the pipeline, the system applies discounts, and at the end of the month, credits are applied and the invoice is published.
