- [Instructor] As our administrator, let's log into our AWS Management console. We're going to visit the EC2 service, so search for the EC2 Service on the top, click on EC2, and we're going to click on Launch instance. The name of our instance would be whatever you want, but I'm just going to use samplesvr. For the machine image, in other words, what type of OS do we want to have on this machine, we're going to use Amazon's Linux image. Now, your free tier allows you use the Amazon Machine image for free, so we're going to use that one. And you can see right here it says Free tier eligible, so we'll stick with that. Notice the Verified provider tag that has been provided for the image. Now this is important because sometimes we could pick images from the AWS marketplace, and sometimes you don't know what people could hide inside of these, so it's recommended that you use one that has the Verified provider tag.
