Break down the bill in AWS

- Man, nobody likes paying bills. AWS has made this a little easier on you by asking for a credit card up front when you create your AWS root account. The only problem is, they'll charge your card automatically each month based on your usage and then send you the statement after they've already charged your card. And so, if you're not watching your usage, then you're going to be in for quite a shock. But don't worry. There's some alarms that we can set on your account so that you don't run into any surprises. When you first log on to your AWS account, you'll see the console home screen. No matter where you are from within the AWS console, if you click the AWS logo in the upper left-hand corner, you'll always be taken back to the console home.
