Business continuity scenario, part 2
- Now that we've identified the different services that would be the most appropriate for our solution, let's go ahead and talk about how we would deploy this solution in our primary region and then in the secondary region. First, we're going to start with CloudFront. It supports multiple regions with the ability to fail over based on health checks. Next, we're going to go ahead and deploy an elastic load balancer and an auto scaled group of EC2 instances that are running our Java code. We have an option here. We could go with Elastic Beanstock to do both of these services, or we could just choose some other infrastructure as code deployment. But we are choosing to use both CloudFront and the Elastic Load Balancer. Next, we deploy RDS as the backend database technology, and whether we choose to use multi-az or not is up to our other requirements.
