- [Instructor] Hi. In this lecture, we'll talk about the AWS Backup service, which helps you automate and manage backups across your AWS resources. In this video, you'll be able to understand how backups are generated in AWS Backup and create a vault, backup plan, and assign resources in AWS Backup. So let's start. AWS Backup is a fully managed, centralized, and automated solution for backing up AWS resources like EBS, EFS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, Storage Gateway, and Amazon Aurora. It uses the default backup mechanism for each of these AWS services. In order for you to manage your backups, you need to create vaults in AWS Backup. Think of vaults as containers where you organize your backups. For example, say you have a web application named my-app, you can create a vault named my-app, and the backups related to the my-app application will be stored in that vault.
