- [Instructor] Let's dive into Amazon Polly, a service that turns text into lifelike speech using deep learning models. In this guide, you learn how to convert text into natural sounding speech and enhance it with SSML tags for added control. First, login to the AWS Console home. In the search bar at the top, type Amazon Polly. Click on Amazon Polly from the search results, and you'll be taken to the Polly Console where you'll see a brief overview of the service. In the top left corner, you can open the sidebar to view the available features. To start this demo, let's click Try Polly and explore how to convert text-to-speech step-by-step. The first step is to enter your text. On the main Polly page, there's a text box where you can type or paste the text you want to convert to speech. For example, let's use the following text.
