Hello and welcome to the AWS Security Specialty Certification course. In this course, you're going to get fully prepared to take your AWS Security Specialty exam. Now, the Security Specialty is a specialty level certification. So, I highly recommend that before you start this course, you should already have a foundational knowledge of AWS. So normally most people will take at least an associate level certification before they then move on to do a specialty level certification. Now I will provide a bit of an overview and a bit of a refresher for some AWS services but for many services I'm not really going to teach you from the beginning what they are. You're expected to understand services like Amazon EC2 and and Amazon S3. They're really core foundational parts of the AWS ecosystem. So before you do a special certification, it's important to have that kind of basis of knowledge. Now, how should you use this course? Well, I do recommend that you start at the beginning and follow all the way through in order. There's lots of hands on lessons, and those lessons might build on each other. So if you do them out of order, it's going to be a bit more difficult. The same applies to to the theory in the course. So sometimes I'll introduce topics and then build on those topics and teach you more information as you go through. So again, best to do the course in order. At the end of this section, you'll also find the course download. Make sure you go and download the zip file and unzip it. Those are the bits of code and files that you're gonna need for the hands-on lessons in the course. Finally, make sure you use our practice exam course as well. These courses are meant to complement each other and between the two, you're gonna be fully prepared to take your exam. So I hope you enjoy the course and I'll see you in the next lesson.
