- [Instructor] When looking at the security for Identity and Access Management and the accounts, we want to remember that the whole deal with IAM is securing access. So Identity and Access Management is controlling the AWS account security overall. If you join an AWS organizations, IAM is still doing that job for that particular account. And it can be incredibly granular. Its whole deal is, I'm identifying you, and if I can't identify you, no access for you. I can identify you, let's see what you can or can't do. What are you allowed or not allowed to do? Each AWS account, right, that container has separate IAM users and IAM groups to manage. And the reminder, if you need it, the root account of each AWS account is not controlled by IAM. That's on its own.
