- [Instructor] In this demo, we're going to take a look at network security. You know that song, you may have heard it, "It's All About the Base." Well, at AWS, it's all about the network security. Therefore, it's all about the VPC. If I'm going to host databases, web servers, application servers, I'm going to host them. It's mandated. In a network, a VPC is a collection of public and private subnets, and we can see that we have a VPC already created. Selecting project-VPC and looking at the resource map. Let's scroll down. We can see that there is a number of public subnets and private subnets split amongst availability zones. So we have some failover and it's up to the customer, that's you, as to where am I going to place my resources. If I'm going to place resources in the private subnet, they're private, they don't have direct access to the internet. If I'm going to place resources on a public subnet, they will have…
