- When we discuss analytics relative to data governance, we must consider the topic from two distinct perspectives. One is to look at how data governance creates the conditions where data analysts and other stakeholders can have confidence in data for the purposes of deriving insights from it. The other is to use analytics to ensure that the data governance framework is performing as expected. For the purposes of data GovOps, we're most interested in the latter. This is because our assumption is that data governance when functioning optimally, is primarily in place to ensure that data is managed well. Its value is leveraged, and risks are reduced. At that point, performing data analytics spins off into its own topic. For this video, we'll focus on how analytics can ensure that the data governance program is effective.
