- [Lecturer] In an earlier video, we saw how we can get Civil 3D to do the math for us to create a new parcel. What if we want to use that approach to modify an existing parcel? Let's take a look. Let's zoom into this parcel here, property 28. And let's say that we want to modify this parcel by pushing this line outward until we create a half acre parcel. If you recall, we used the slide line create tool to create this parcel by drawing a line that started at this frontage line, extending out perpendicular to the frontage until it intersected the back line. We don't want to have to remove the parcel and do it again. Can't we just modify the one that's already there? And the answer is yes, we can. I'll select the label to select the parcel. And on the contextual ribbon, I'll click parcel layout tools. This time, instead of picking slide line create, we'll pick its counterpart, slide line edit. I'll launch the tool, and watch the prompts. I'll click okay to dismiss this dialogue. And…
