Create sample lines

- [Instructor] In the last video, we saw how to temporarily view our design in section view using the section viewer. What if we want to create persistent section views in our drawing that we can also use to view the design or even plot on our final construction documents? That all starts with sample lines, so let's see how to create them. To get started, I'll simply click sample lines on the home tab of the ribbon. Next, it asks me to pick the alignment that I want to create the sample lines along. Now, it can be a little tricky to pick that alignment from a busy drawing, so what I'm going to do is press enter, and then select an alignment from the list here and we're going to use Jordan Court, so I'll pick Jordan Court and click okay. That brings up the toolbar. Now, before we create our sample lines, of course we have to name them and select some styles that are going to control how they look and how they behave, just like any other Civil 3D objects.
