Creating quick isometrics
- [Instructor] When you're working on a design, it usually changes many times before you settle on a configuration that works. There will be times when you need to run an iso to verify dimensions and break points, but with Plant 3D we have two options when we run an iso. A quick iso, and a production iso. The quick iso is what we'd run when we're still working on the design, and a production iso is what we'd run once the design is finalized and ready to be issued formally. Plant 3D registers your isos to the project, as we saw in the isometric drawing tab in project manager, so what we don't want is to have hundreds of test isos cluttering up our project database. The fundamental difference is that when we run a quick iso, it's not registered to the project. It will produce a drawing, but you won't see it in project manager. Let's open a model and see how that works when we run one of our quick isos. So from project manager, we're going to open 10_model. Now to make it a little bit…
