- Now, let's jump into chapter nine. We're going to understand tagging. So, let's go ahead and navigate out to our Exercise files on our desktop. Exercise files, chapter nine, and our project, XML, and we'll expand. These are the files that we'll be using for this chapter. So, every component that we place in a project is given a unique identifier making it impossible to have duplicates. Which is exactly what we want. While this unique identifier tells us which component we're looking at, it doesn't define how we name or number that component or how we display information about that component in the drawing. When we assign tag dated to component, we're in fact giving that component a name. I'm going to show you some examples. Let's go ahead and open drawing 09-01. I'm going to just go to our tool palette here, and we'll grab some equipment. I'm going to take a pump and drag that, and I'm going to place that in our drawing.
