- [Instructor] When we create our new symbol, you will have noticed there was a symbol settings dialogue box that popped open once the symbol was assigned. With this dialogue box, we can define various properties and behaviors to our symbols that are applied automatically upon insertion. Let's take a closer look at the different properties that we can assign to our custom symbols. So, let's go back to our project setup, and let's take a look at this LinkedIn Pump that we have here. So, I'm going to come up here, and we're going to say edit the symbol. Not the block, which is the graphic. The symbol is actually going to give us the properties. So, I'm going to go through this dialogue box with you here. These are the default settings. So, when we insert the symbol, it's going to use the current layer. We have the option to go through and change that to any layer that we have in the drawing. So, for a pump, I'm going to go ahead and say let's make that mechanical. And, for the color…
