Calculate the deflection line
- [Instructor] As you saw in the previous video, generating calculations on your mechanical drawings is extremely easy. We did moment of inertia in the previous video. In this video, we're going to look at generating our beam deflection calculations. So we've already got the moments of inertia in place in this particular drawing, you can see them in the top left corner, and they replicate what we created in the previous video. We have a new drawing for you, it's called beamdeflection_calcs.dwg. And as usual, you know the drill by now, you can download the drawing from the library to follow along with video. So what we're going to do now is basically create a deflection line based on one of the moments of inertia calculations that we created in the previous video. And we're going to utilize these lines here. So we're just going to use the top line but you can just use a regular line in AutoCAD Mechanical to represent your beam because all you need is two points and the length of the…
