Ellipses
- [Instructor] An ellipse is similar to an oval, but a bit more mathematical. Fortunately, AutoCAD for Mac will do the math for us, we just need to provide a few different points for AutoCAD to create our shape. Like a circle, there are a couple different ways of drawing an ellipse, based on the information about the ellipse that we have. We can draw an ellipse with just the axis endpoints or we can choose the center point and then two of the endpoints for the minor and major axes. I'm going to start by typing in the word ellipse and hitting Return. I'm going to pick one endpoint, here and then the endpoint, here. Now, I just need the radius for the major or minor axes. I'll click right about there. The ellipse tool is found here on the drawing tools set. And if I click and hold, we can see the other options that we have for drawing ellipses, including center point, axis end, which we just did, or an elliptical arc. I'm…
