- [Shaun] We've now come to the end of our course where we've been looking at AutoCAD and looking at 3D modeling for mechanical design. This is a very short course, and it takes you into a deeper dive overview of what you can do with 3D modeling in AutoCAD when you're working with mechanical designs. Now, the mechanical design that we've used is fairly simplistic, it's our little metal plate that you can see there on the screen. And what I've done is I've made sure that you've got a final version of the DWG file, it's called Metal Plate_FINAL.dwg, and you can download that from the library to use and play around with as much as you like. So the whole idea of this course is to get you into your 3D design. So we've got our nice little 3D solid there, we've got some dimensions, we've edited the 3D solid, and we've communicated our design using the Metal Plate - GA & Details tab, so we've got our view ports, our dimensioning annotation, our isometric views, our materials, and so on.
