What is an accessibility audit?
- An accessibility audit is one of many ways to help us establish better accessibility in our design systems. But what is an accessibility audit, and how can it help us achieve the goal of having an accessible design system? Accessibility audits are a way to find and log issues so we can prioritize, describe, and ultimately fix them. An audit can evaluate anything, from a single page to a single component, or even our entire design system. This practice can be used for a mature system or even starting from our very first component. We can review our designs, code, documentation, and more using WCAG to inform what we find and assess the impact. We're going to discuss impact from a few different perspectives.
