- Financial due diligence is a bit like doing a title search on a property you want to buy. You're checking to make sure everything is right. There are many parts of a due diligence project, analyzing a company, its operations, its leadership, its finances and its business model. And this is very often done as part of a merger acquisition known as M and A. When it comes to financial due diligence, several questions need to be answered. Is the company worth what it seems to be? Are there any major risks that could be a problem in the future, and is the deal worth doing at all? If every due diligence project was as clear as a certified audit, that would make decisions easier. But the problem is that there are often significant limitations when doing a due diligence project.
