- [Instructor] Audiobook editing breaks down into two categories, dynamic and timeline-based edits. Dynamic edits control the range of volume in your audiobook. Timeline-based edits correct mistakes in the flow of narration. Let me show you some timeline-based examples. While I do this, I will be using Pro Tools, so keep in mind the method for making these edits will vary depending on what software you choose to use. Whatever your choice, LinkedIn Learning has courses to take a deeper dive into the many facets of audio editing. Most unwanted sounds, like mispronounced words and extraneous noise, will be found by listening through the audio file. While you're listening to a narration in your DAW, you will have a playhead indicating your position in the timeline.
