Importing sketches and surveys into a worksheet
- [Instructor] Free hand sketching remains invaluable to the design process. In this video, we'll import a digital sketch into a worksheet which can then be used as a trace reference. Before we import the file, we will need to set up a new worksheet. We find this in our project map in our navigator on the right-hand side of the page. In our worksheets, right-click and select new independent worksheet. For good naming, we'll delete the name worksheet, and rename this sketch, and then click create. This has created a new separate view within ArchiCAD, where we can import our sketch drawing. While these can be imported in a variety of ways, The simplest method is to drag and drop the file from a folder. To do this, we'll open the file explorer or finder, make sure that you can still see your ArchiCAD file, behind your folder window. If you need to, reduce it.
