In this video, I want to introduce you to AWX and Ansible Automation Platform, because in the context of Ansible, these are pretty important. So what is Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform? Well, to understand Automation Platform, you should understand Ansible Core RPM package first. Ansible Core is a freely available open software Ansible version, also known as Community Ansible, and it comes with limited support if you are using it in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Support in other Linux distributions depends on the conditions of the Linux distribution. Ansible Automation Platform is an additional Red Hat product that does require a license, so it's not for free. And it contains a couple of components that are bundled by Red Hat based on open source software. First there is Ansible Automation Controller, which provides a web user interface for management.
