Ansible basics and beyond: Introduction

Hello and welcome to Ansible from Basics to Guru complete video course. I created this course to demonstrate how cool and useful Ansible really is. While creating it, I wanted to go beyond the basics and show you how to manage everything with Ansible. This course doesn't assume that you know anything about Ansible yet, and it will take you all the way down to a level where you'll learn about advanced features and also how to manage heterogeneous environments where different assets are managed. Let me tell you how I organize the course contents. To make it easy to find your way, this course is organized in modules. The first module is Getting Started, and if you're new to Ansible, you should definitely start here, as it covers all of the Ansible essentials, including working with the web-based Ansible automation platform. The second module is called Developing Flexible Playbooks. In this module, you'll find all you need to know to get started with Ansible Playbooks. It has lessons about variables, conditionals, file management and templates, as well as working with roles and collections. If you're just interested in getting started with Ansible, after studying the contents of this module, you should be ready to go. The third module is where it's getting more advanced. It is in particular in this module that you will acquire the advanced knowledge required to pass RET at exam 467. In this module, you'll find lessons about Ansible best practices and optimization, using filters, using plugins, and advanced Ansible automation platform usage. The fourth module is what I like to call the fun module. In this module, you'll learn how to get started managing heterogeneous environments with Ansible. This module contains instructions in managing Windows, Azure, containers, AWS, network devices, virtual machines, as well as Kubernetes with Ansible. We're going to spend a lot of time together in this course. So before we get started, let me tell you a bit about myself. I consider myself a geek by nature, as I like investigating technology, figure out how it really works, and explain that to others in many different ways. My preferred way of doing so is by creating video courses, like this course, and the best-selling courses such as Red Hat Certified Engineer Complete Video Course, which is also completely about Ansible. I also teach live classes, and I hope to meet you soon in one of these classes. For more information about me, please check out my webpage at sandervanvugt.com.
