Welcome to the world of animation
- Welcome to the exciting world of animation. My name is David Andrade, an Emmy-nominated animator, who's been working in this industry for over 15 years. Often new animators are faced with a myriad of complicated career paths, software choices, and learning tools that can be incredibly confusing. But don't worry, I'm going to help you on this journey. In my LinkedIn Learning course, we're going to focus on three major areas. First, the principles of animation, or the foundational knowledge that all animators should know. Next, we'll talk about the pipeline of animation and how software like Blender can help you create those animations. And finally, we'll go over four major career paths that animators can take, like working in video games or in movies. Along the way, we're going to have assistance from the little character that my studio created, Blobkin. He's a happy little creature of the sea from an upcoming video game that we're producing.
