GitHub models
- GitHub has launched a new service called GitHub Models, and it's a game changer for AI prototyping and development. Now, I don't say that lightly, because in AI marketing world, everything is a game changer, but GitHub Models actually, changes the game for AI prototyping and development. Let's dig in. As the name suggests, GitHub Models provides direct access to a long list of large language models, small language models, and embeddings models from different vendors. And this access is provided directly through the GitHub marketplace under github.com/marketplace/models. The model families currently on offer include, but are not limited to Mistral, OpenAI, Llama, and Phi. You can select any model to get its model card and get more information about it, and you can open each model in a playground where you can chat with it and change its properties.
