I once worked with a data scientist who had just switched to a new industry. At the start, she was sure that she could do the role, but after a few weeks, she ran into a problem. The industry was different, so was the business model. The strategy on how to build AI projects was completely different. As you apply AI strategy to your workflows, remember to adapt it to different industries. Tailoring AI to industry is critical. Not all AI solutions work across industries. First, you need to adapt to regulations and rules. Every industry has its own set of requirements, regulatory environments, and pain points. Some regulated industries may not allow certain AI models or processes. The health care industry, for example, must follow patient privacy rules.
