Prototyping roles, personas and expected outcome
- [Narrator] You are probably curious who is engaged in prototyping. Prototyping is a team effort, where project or product managers coordinate the process. Data scientists and developers draft system functionalities. UX designers generate the interface and conduct the testing process. Most of the time I was doing the coordination and conducting tests on my own. Data scientists and devs were drafting the system on a whiteboard and the graphic designer was preparing the interface. Then altogether, we were analyzing feedback and deciding on redesigns. To do effective prototyping, you need to define personas, representations of the different types of users who will interact with your AI system. There are typically two types of personas for AI systems. The client type, for example, someone who is interacting with the system, and the support type, for example, someone in the company who is overviewing the process.
