Running your own models or outsourcing

- [Instructor] Hosting an AI model can be tricky. So do you host your own or outsource? This is an important decision to be made, so let's go through some different parameters to consider. Our considerations are quite similar to the AI API usage we covered in chapter two. The important things are time to market, integration points, team structure, compliance requirements, and one more of infrastructure availability and outputs. Now there are a spectrum of options. You could either host yourself or have a fully managed solution. Closer to the host yourself option, you can run everything in your own data center, buying your own hardware, and going through this procurement and hosting journey. If we move further right, we could implement a cloud IAAS, so we'll have managed hardware.
