Cloud security models
- In cloud environment, security is a shared responsibility between the cloud provider and the customer or the consumer. The shared responsibility model varies based on the type of cloud service you are using. This cloud service could be an infrastructure as a service, where the cloud provider manages the infrastructure and then the consumer manages the data, the application, operating system, and some other resources. It could be a platform as a service. In the case of a platform as a service, the provider handles more, but the consumer is responsible for the data and application level security. And if your cloud model is a software as a service, this means that most security is managed by the provider, but the consumer on the other end need to secure the data and the user access.
