- [Narrator] When you want to develop an AI agent that plays a game, it's important to keep in mind the type of game you are going to play. Games can be classified according to a number of properties. First, we have the number of players. There are zero player games like Bingo or Snakes and Ladders. Yes, there are players in these games, but they aren't really active and the game progresses by chance, regardless of their actions. A very well known one player game is Solitaire. There are two player games like chess. Some games may have many players like poker, and we have massive online games as an example of unlimited player games. The availability of information divides games into two categories. Complete information games like chess or tic-tac toe, where all players can see the state of the game at all times, and incomplete information games, where information is hidden to some players, like auctions, and poker.
