- [Instructor] Welcome to Course 2 of the Agile Project Management with Jira (Cloud Edition) series. AT Atlassian University, our mission is to help Atlassian users like you develop new skills, improve your team's work, and advance your professional career. In this series, we will be learning how to use lean and agile principles, how to identify different agile methodologies, and how to configure Jira to match your team's processes. Now let's take a look at what you'll be learning in course two. In this course, you will learn about lean and agile principles, identify the differences between Scrum and Kanban, how to use quick search, basic search, and finally how to use JQL. This course does not assume you have any existing or prior knowledge of Jira and agile methods, although some existing knowledge would be helpful. The topics we will cover in this course are lean and agile principles, Scrum overviews, both one and two, quick search and basic search, and finally, JQL. The approximate time for each topic includes the lecture and any demos if added. Get started with Jira Cloud in a few simple steps. First, go to the Atlassian homepage at www.atlassian.com. Click the blue Try Now button at the top right of the page. Scroll down to the Plan & Track section on the left side of the next page. Click the light gray Try Cloud button under Jira Software. Register and download from the signup page. When using Jira Cloud, you can choose between classic projects and next gen projects. Next gen projects are simpler to configure. Let's get started.
