- So you have a date, you have a team and you have a high-level goal. How does Agile help us know where to start? In Agile, all delivery begins with a backlog. A backlog is a collection of all the things you and your team are asked to commit to deliver. Having everything in a single list allows the team to visualize the amount of work that lies ahead and also allows for them to visually break down how to tackle it. I remember when I was a new member of a development team and our goal was to develop the company's first mobile app. I had so much to do and felt overwhelmed. When we were first assembled, we were all unsure of where to start. We understood the goal of building a mobile application but needed a wishlist from the company stakeholders.
