- Do you really know what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes? Sometimes it's hard to switch gears and imagine what it would be like to be the other person. Personas are a technique that agile BAs use to help the team empathize and align the solution to user needs. Personas are fictional characters or archetypes used to represent typical users of a solution. Chris, our agile BA, describes personas to the team as if they're real users. Chris gives each persona a name and other attributes like a job title, background information, their age, interests, skill levels, preferences, and other relevant attributes. Some things Chris thinks about and uses when creating personas and discussing them with the team, well, first he uses a long or short template.
