- Once you're close to your scheduled exam day the nerves start to settle in. Here are a few tips to help you understand the rules, environment and context for the exam. At the time this course was recorded, the only way to take the exam is with a virtual online proctor. This means that you take the exam from your location of choice, including your home or office. It involves a virtual exam proctor who monitors your exam location and your behavior via video. The IIBA website has all the details on how to register, schedule and all about the day of your exam including things like how to ensure your computer is compatible for taking the exam. Now for a few tips. First, your exam environment. The exam is a closed book exam and you are not allowed to have any materials in your exam space.
