The Dependencies menu

- [Instructor] After Effects has built-in tools that can help you when the time come to hand off the project to another user or to archive it for later retriever. These tools are all under the Dependencies menu. And I want to quickly review them so you'll know what to expect and how and when to use each one. So I'll select let's say this composition as well as this one and then go to File and under Dependencies I'll start with Collect Files. So Collect Files will gather all the source footage items linked to by this project. Those files can be spread across multiple folders, drives or even computers and this command will copy them to a new location creating new folders that follow the same hierarchy as what you created inside the project panel. So this makes it an ideal step to gather together everything you need except by the way fonts, scripts and plugins and this way you can archive your project or hand it off to…
