- [Man] Believe it or not, but I often used After Effects for still design as well. After Effects was the first Adobe application that had layers, I remember back in the mid 90s, that I've used it to build compositions of one frame, and then export them to Photoshop, and continue my work over there. Now over the years, Photoshop has grown up and added almost all the tools that you'll ever need, but even today there are things that After Effects can do better and faster. For example, 3D text, you can, of course do it in Photoshop, but when it comes to final rendering, even with a modern machine, it will take you awhile, usually a few minutes to process just one frame. Another scenario is if you want to create a poster for your movie, and you already have that hero frame in After Effects. Well if this is the case, you can export it to Photoshop, maintaining all the layers, and you can continue working over there. Now…
