Expression controls
- At times we may require more control over our expressions, specifically the wiggle function. For instance, we may want to gradually initiate wiggling at a certain time, and then gradually stop at another time. This level of control can be easily achieved by using control layers that have expression control effects applied to them. Here in After Effects, open the composition named 2.5 Expression Controls. This is the composition that I have opened here. Let's go ahead and play it. We see that there is a wiggle applied to this layer, so click on its name and press the letter U twice. And indeed, we have a wiggle expression applied to the position of this layer. Now, we want for this layer to start wiggling at two seconds and stop wiggling at five seconds. There are many different ways of doing this, but in this case, we're going to use a slider control, so let's go ahead and add a null object. So layer, new, null object.…
