- In this movie, we're going to explore all the various ways to move a camera with an after effects composition as well as easily reset them if something were to go wrong. So I'm here in my chapter 1_8 composition and the first tip I want to give you when moving cameras or even just adding cameras before you even move them. In many cases, if you're going to use a wide angle or a telephoto lens, you want to add the camera to your scene first before actually moving the individual layers. So I just want to show you here if I actually go to the layer menu. I'm going to go new camera, let you know that I've already actually moved the position of each of these layers in 3D space and if I come here, add a 15 millimeter lens just to exaggerate the depth between each of these items. I have a completely scene that is completely disoriented because I made those changes of the z values as well as the scaling up of these layers in a 15 millimeter default composition setting.
