What is an anchored object?

- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to focus on anchored objects and not just regular anchored objects, we're going to be using advanced anchored object settings. Now, you've probably already worked with anchored objects before without really realizing that you were using anchored objects. Let me show you a basic example. If I were to draw out a basic shape like this here and then if I were to cut that shape using Command + X on the keyboard or Control + X on Windows, take my type cursor, click inside the text and then paste, then I have created an anchored object. So the idea is that you have an object, a shape that you cut and paste it into the text. So this object is now considered an anchored object, hence the anchor icon.
