Content-aware formatting
- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to take a look at how we can apply conditional formatting when working with tables in Adobe InDesign. So this means that the formatting that you currently see applied to these numbers here, for example, red formatting for negative numbers, and green formatting for a very specific range of other numbers. What happens is if I were to come in and put my cursor just in front of this four, and add a minus symbol, the formatting will automatically change to red. If I were to come in and let's say make this 16%, again the formatting will change to green, based on a set of rules that I have set up in the paragraph style. Now the advantage when using something like this is that if you were to go in say, Excel, copy brand new numbers that your customer has supplied to you, go back into InDesign, and now just paste in the new numbers, it will also automatically reapply that formatting to…
